What can Transitional Housing look like:
Our vision puts participants in a hotel room at little to no cost initially while working to help those who need gainful employment achieve this goal as we work together with individuals to structure a sustainable solution where saving can occur while addressing other stabilizing needs to allow one to flourish in society.
Examples of those potentially in need of Transitional Housing: (beyond those heading toward or already in a homeless situation)
-High School Graduates without family support
-Displaced workers facing financial peril
-Veterans transitioning out of the military
-Recent Widows
-Those suffering from mental health issues struggling to adapt to society
-Recently divorced/separated and the children affected directly
-Young persons aging out of Foster Care
-Abusive home life situations
-Unanticipated medical expenses leading toward a financial crisis which may put someone's (family) living situation in peril
-Individuals coming out of incarceration
-Refugee displacement, immigrants, and out of state persons moving to Central Wisconsin in need of housing and indirectly causes additional housing shortages for the existing populous
What can Transitional Housing provide:
-A means to allow individuals/families to 'get back on their feet' financially
-Security (a home) for the recovery process while people use the available resources to help them overcome issues affecting their ability to thrive in society
-An opportunity for those who need a chance to save financially a viable way to accomplish this.
-Disaster relief locations throughout the state when all rooms are not occupied at a given location.
-A potential option for anyone who falls on hard times and needs a practical way to start over.
Can one vision change society:
Our current primary mission/goal with HOPE is to implement our vision of creating Transitional Housing for various needs in Central Wisconsin and then presenting our working model as a viable solution at the government level to the State of Wisconsin through our local representatives in an attempt to curb the housing crisis and alleviate a growing homeless population that has been increasing rapidly since 2020.
How can you get involved and support this just cause:

Our Story
Helping Other People Exist is a faith-based community outreach organization focused on assisting others by bringing permanent, positive change to individuals' lives . H.O.P.E. was founded in 2024 by a group of community members who recognized a need for more support services in the area. We will work together toward sustainable solutions for affordable housing, poverty prevention, mental health needs, addiction recovery, education, and job placement.
We are working toward the purchase of a property that will allow us to offer short-term transitional housing to those in need of housing. Once we secure the property, we plan to offer a range of programs to support individuals and families in our community, including mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and job placement workshops. Our programs will be designed to meet the unique needs of each person we serve.
The focus of this Pledge drive will be to raise funds either through tax deductible donations or under the set precedent of an indefinite loan. Choosing the option of an indefinite loan will allow H.O.P.E. to use these funds for a period of no less than two year without accruing interest or requiring payment.
